Stunning Floors that Perform

A successful epoxy floor is about far more than just spreading epoxy materials across concrete. At CEF Industrial, we help determine the right system build, primer strategy, and topcoat selection based on your traffic, exposure conditions, cleaning needs, and performance goals. With careful surface preparation, skilled installation, and close attention to cure schedules and downtime requirements, we help deliver an epoxy floor that performs long-term while getting your operation back up and running as efficiently as possible.

The Epoxy Experts

Optimum flooring comes down to expert prep and system selection, not marketing claims. CEF’s owner-led guidance keeps decisions grounded in how your facility actually runs. We help you balance performance, downtime, and cost without overselling unnecessary layers. You get clarity up front and a system that makes sense on the floor.

Professional Prep

Epoxy fails when the slab isn’t properly profiled, repaired, and cleaned. We use mechanical preparation designed for industrial environments, not “light prep” shortcuts. That means stronger adhesion, fewer delamination risks, and better long-term performance. In Ohio’s busy facilities, that reliability matters.

Tailored to Your Needs

We tailor epoxy thickness, broadcast media, and topcoats to match traffic and exposure. If you need slip resistance, cleanability, or chemical protection, we build the floor around those requirements. That approach reduces maintenance headaches and extends service life. Your floor becomes an asset instead of a recurring repair item.

Installation Process

While every job is unique, careful & planned preparation is critical to ensuring your floors come out just right. Here are a few of the steps we take to ensure your floors endure.

Site Assessment

Epoxy performance depends heavily on understanding the slab condition, traffic patterns, and exposure the floor will face. Site assessment helps ensure the coating system is designed around the real demands of the facility, not a generic spec.

Moisture Testing

Moisture testing helps identify vapor-related issues that can lead to bubbling, delamination, or coating failure. It allows the system to be adjusted before installation instead of discovering a problem after the floor is finished.

Shot Blasting

Shot blasting creates the surface profile epoxy needs to mechanically bond to the concrete. Without proper profiling, even a high-quality coating system is at greater risk of premature failure.

Crack & Joint Repair

Repairing cracks and joints before coating helps create a smoother, more uniform substrate for the epoxy system. It also reduces the chance of defects showing through the finished floor or creating weak points in the installation.

Primer Coat

The primer coat helps lock into the prepared concrete and creates a strong foundation for the rest of the epoxy system. It improves adhesion, promotes uniform coverage, and helps the following layers perform more consistently.

Build Coat

The build coat provides the body of the epoxy system and delivers much of the floor’s thickness, durability, and protection. This layer is key to creating a dense, resilient surface that stands up to industrial wear.

Broadcast Aggregate

Broadcast aggregate can add texture, slip resistance, and additional durability depending on the needs of the space. It helps tailor the floor for safer footing and more practical performance in demanding environments.

Topcoat Application

The topcoat locks the system together and adds the final layer of protection, cleanability, and finish. It can also improve chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and long-term appearance depending on the selected material.
